Armoured  Recovery & Repair Vehicle (ARRV)

Armoured Recovery and Repair Vehicle (ARRV) is to recover disabled combat tanks and take them to a place, where they can be repaired and replenished to be ready for battle again. ARRV will consist of major recovery systems like - Main Winch, Auxiliary winch, Crane, Anchor-cum-Dozer. Main automotive components and sub-systems will be virtually identical to the battle tank. This commonality ensures simplified spares inventory and crew training leading to easier and more efficient logistic management.

Armoured Recovery Vehicle (ARV WZT-3)

Armoured recovery vehicle are deployed in war-time operation / forward areas to salvage damaged battle tanks.  ARV WZT-3 is equipped with NSW 12.7 mm antiaircraft gun, vehicle commander observation device, observation  device,  NBC  protection,  fire  suppression  system,  communication equipment, electric welding equipment, smoke grenade system, load carrying platform, towing device, dozer blade and set of special devices and tools.

Engineering Mine Plough for T-72

The Engineering Mine plough supplied by BEML is available in two versions: the Track Width Mine Plough (TWMP) and the Full Width Mine Plough (FWMP). The TWMP has eight tines per side while the FWMP clears the whole width of the vehicle. The FWMP and the TWMP are interchangeable. The TWMP comprises two independent blades, left and right. The hydraulic cylinder lowers and raises the equipment from the control box.

The Mine plough can be fitted to any T-72 tank. A quick-fit mounting enables the Mine plough to be fitted or removed within 15 minutes. Existing eyes at the top of the toe plate are used to pin the plough in place, enabling the Mine plough to be fitted or removed within minutes.

Engineering Mine Plough for T-90
  • The T-90 Engineer Mine Plough gives a tank the ability to rapidly force a passage through mined obstacles by creating a cleared path for armoured fighting vehicles to follow.
  • The mine free path is prepared by a raking action that brings buried or concealed mines to the surface and moves them to the side.
  • To achieve the necessary raking action, tines move through the soil at a constant depth. The geometry of the Engineer Mine Plough and skids provide the depth control means.
Surface Mine Clearance System (SMCS)
  • The Surface Mine Clearance System gives a vehicle the ability to safely clear surface laid mines and munitions on roads and light terrain.
  • The mine free path is prepared by a Vee blade that moves mines from the front of the vehicle safely to each side, well clear of the vehicle tracks. To achieve the necessary action, the vee blade is divided into several blade segments, each of which is free to move in response to ground contours.
  • The SMCS is attached to the vehicle towing eyes without modification to the vehicle.
  • The Surface Mine Clearance System
    • clears surface laid mines from the full width of the vehicle
    • has a proven track record in a wide range of terrain
    • is robust and compact
    • is designed to resist the effects of detonating mines
    • may be jettisoned from the vehicle should the need arise
    • requires minimal maintenance
    • Can be fitted with an optional Magnetic Signature Duplicator (MSD) system to counter magnetic influence fused mines.
  • The Surface Mine Clearance System is operated from a simple control unit mounted within easy reach of the driver.
  • The Surface Mine Clearance System clears surface mines both on and off road at speeds up to 10 mph.
KMT-6 Mine Plough
Track Width Mine Plough for T-90
  • The T-90 Track Width Mine Plough gives a tank the ability to rapidly force a passage through mined obstacles by creating a cleared path for the T-90 Main Battle Tank. The mine free path is prepared by a raking action that brings buried or concealed mines to the surface and moves them to the side. To achieve the necessary raking action, tines move through the soil at a constant depth. The geometry of the T-90 Track Width Mine Plough and skids provide the depth control means.

    • is designed to operate in a wide range of soils including loose sand and loams

  • The T-90 Track Width Mine Plough is comprised of two 4-tine blades and is capable of being used at speeds of 1-15 km/hr dependent upon ground conditions and vehicle performance.
